Can I create a password-protected ZIP?

Yes. On Create you can encrypt with AES-256 (best security) or ZipCrypto (best compatibility). The password is used only on your device.

Can I open an encrypted ZIP?

Yes. Open asks for the password and decrypts on your device. The password is never saved or sent anywhere.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Zip Files runs in your browser with no sign-up and nothing to install.
